BIOEXCEL MF Multi Fermentor is a multi-fermentation system designed to look for optimum fermentation environment or medium optimization by comparative experiment.

BIOEXCEL MF can be used to conduct an experiment in same environmental condition, but with different variable. For example, under same pH, temperature and agitation speed, multi fermentation system measures the change of biomass when different DO values are applied on each vessel. Hence, its advantage is to quickly and accurately deduct a comparative data according to change in certain variable under certain condition. When only one single fermentor is used for comparative experiment, it is not only time taking and expensive to rerun at same condition, but also very erroneous to maintain surrounding environment and conditions inside vessel.

Each fermentor can independently set up pH, DO, Temperature, agitation speed, and foam sensitivity. Status for Air pump on/off, agitation, run, and remote control is recorded as graph. Setup status of DO control mode and Fed batch mode is indicated on the controller.

On PC, each fermentor can be set up with each function, and remotely control for Run and stop. To be more specific, parameters, such as pH, DO, Temperature, Agitation speed, and foam values, as well as DO stat Fed batch, pH stat fed-batch, user feeding, and Gas control can be set up.

BIOEXCEL MF is a Multi Fermentation system for microorganism culture, and BIOEXCEL MB is a Multi Bioreactor System for animal cell, plant cell, and microalgae culture.

Parallel process available for both enzymatic bioconversion and microorganism reaction. Automatic medium transfer available from a previous vessel to the next vessel after a reaction or culture.

BIOEXCEL MB system is based on BIOEXCEL A Bioreactor. BIOEXCEL MF system is based on BIOEXCEL M Fermentor. They can be connected to a maximum of 6 bioreactors so that it forms a unified multi- fermenter/bioreactor system.

OPTION

BIOEXCEL MF Fermentation system basically consists of 2, 4 or maximum 6 fermentor vessels as one fermentation system. It is designed to be used as either a stand-alone or a multiple bioreactor system. 3, or 5 fermentor vessels can be also offered according to customer’s demand. Through PC program, maximum 6 fermentor vessels can be used for comparative experiment simultaneously. Furthermore, all data during fermentation process can be collected, that data or graph from all channels can be simultaneously saved. Several main functions can be controlled remotely.

BIOEXCEL MB or BIOEXCEL MF Multi bioreactor system are able to communicate via personal computers, RS-232 or wireless connections. By using a personal computer, you can easily and conveniently conduct integrated management and compare each bioreactor and bioreactor process. You can also save and control data interactively.

BIOEXCEL MF Multi Fermentation system can be categorized according to shape, uses, and cultivation method. Usually, fermentor with volume from 1L to 19L is characterized as Lab Scale Fermentor. The BIOEXCEL MF system designed for multipurpose fermentation. BIOEXCEL MF is basically able to do batch, fed-batch, and continuous culture mode for microorganism fermentation. Vessels used for BIOEXCEL MF are basically for microorganisms such as bacteria, yeast or fungi.

Such special features of cultured plant cells necessitate to design and develop a impeller for bioreactor, which could provide proper mixing and sufficient oxygen supply throughout the bioreactor without forming dead zones and will not damage the cells during cultivation period. The hydrodynamic conditions in bioreactors are most strongly dependent on the impeller design. Different process modes are used, such as batch culture, fed batch culture, and continuous culture.

All our hosts are aerobic, O2 is preferred terminal electron acceptor. Many promoters are down-regulated at low DO2 levels. O2 transfer is the major constraint in most of our fermentations!

A closed system initiated by the inoculation of microorganisms under certain environmental conditions such as specific nutrients, temperature, pressure, aeration and so on. Only few generations of microorganisms can grow before given nutrients are vanished.

One or more nutrients (substrates) are fed to the bioreactor during cultivation and in which the product or cultured broth remains in the bioreactor until the end of the run.

Continuous Culture

Continuous culture

Cell culture method which keeps culture volume constant. Fresh medium flows into bioreactor continuously and part of the medium in the reactor is withdrawn from the bioreactor at the same flow rate of the inlet flow
